Associa Names Barbara Herndon CEO of ProComm of San Antonio

San Antonio, TX February 25, 2009 – Associa, the nation’s leading community association management company, welcomes Barbara Herndon back as Chief Executive Officer of ProComm of San Antonio, TX. As CEO, Ms. Herndon will oversee the firm’s management operations in San Antonio, New Braunfels, and McAllen. Ms Herndon is a hands-on leader who is involved in the daily operations of each ProComm location, supervision of management services, marketing and new client relations.
Ms. Herndon returns to ProComm after a year and a half temporary assignment at Associa’s south Florida location. In the interim Senior Vice President Sue Womack graciously stepped in as acting president, successfully expanded operations in McAllen and New Braunfels. Associa and Ms. Herndon sincerely appreciate all the hard work and dedication Ms. Womack demonstrated during this period.
Ms. Herndon has been in business management, commercial property management, resort management and community association management more than 26 years and has held the positions of President/CEO of Association Services of Florida in Miramar, Florida, President/CEO of ProComm in San Antonio, Regional Vice President of Principal Management Group’s Arlington/Ft. Worth office, Vice President of Property Management for Central Management, Inc. and Corporate Property Manager for Wells Fargo Bank.
Ms. Herndon holds the following professional designations: Professional Community Association Manager, (PCAM) and Association Management Specialist, (AMS) awarded by Community Associations Institute, Certified Property Manager, (CPM) awarded by the Institute of Real Estate Management and Certified Manager of Community Associations, (CMCA) awarded by the National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers (NBC-CAM).
Ms. Herndon stays actively involved in Community Association Institute and the Institute of Real Estate Management. Ms. Herndon has facilitated education/training courses for community managers across the nation, and continues to encourage, educate, and mentor co-workers within Associa.
